Short guides for single tasks. They assume you have set up the app and are signed in.

Some actions, like removing a title, are only offered to people who may make that change. If a button described here is missing, see Who may change what.

Add a movie or series

1. Tap Search and type at least three letters of the title.
2. Tap Add next to the result.

The app confirms with "… added.". If the title is already there, the result shows In the library instead, and tapping it opens the title.

To see more first, tap the title instead: the preview shows poster, ratings and summary. Tap Add to library at the bottom.

Choose seasons when you add a series

You don't have to add every season of a series.

1. Search for the series and tap its title to open the preview.
2. Tap Choose seasons.
3. All seasons are selected. Tap a season to leave it out, or tap None and pick the ones you want.
4. Tap Add selected seasons.

Request or remove a season

On the page of a series in your library:

• Request one season: touch and hold the season, then tap Request season ….
• Request several seasons: below the seasons, tap Request several seasons…, select the seasons and tap Request selected seasons.
• Remove a season: touch and hold the season, tap Remove season … and confirm with Remove. The downloaded episodes of that season are deleted.

Get new seasons automatically

On the page of a series, turn on Get new seasons automatically. New seasons are then requested as soon as they are announced. Turn it off to decide yourself.

Get a different copy of a movie

If a movie doesn't play well, has the wrong language or poor quality, you can ask for a different copy.

1. Open the movie.
2. Tap More (···) at the top right and then Get a different copy.
3. Confirm with Replace.

Scaricarr throws away the current copy, won't take the same one again, and looks for a new one. The movie shows in progress until the new copy is there.

Get a different copy of an episode

1. Open the series and tap a season to show its episodes.
2. Touch and hold the episode and tap Get a different copy.
3. Confirm with Replace.

This works for single episodes only. To replace several episodes, do it one episode at a time.

Remove a title

1. Open the title.
2. Scroll down and tap Remove from library.
3. Confirm with Remove.

The downloaded files are deleted as well.

Show only your own titles

In Library, tap Filter at the top right and choose Only mine. Choose Everything to see the whole library again.

You can also tap Your media on the Me tab to jump straight to your own titles.

Refresh

Pull down on the library, a title or the Me tab to load the latest state.

Add a title with Siri

Say for example "Add to Scaricarr" or "Download with Scaricarr". Siri asks what you want to add, shows what it found and asks you to confirm. You can also use the Add to Library action in the Shortcuts app.

Sign out

1. Open the Me tab.
2. Tap Sign out.

To sign out on every device and browser where you use your account, tap Sign out on all devices and confirm with Sign out everywhere. Use this if you lost a device.

If your server can't be reached, the Me tab offers Sign out on this device instead.

Connect to a different server

1. Sign out.
2. On the sign-in screen, tap Use a different server.
3. Enter the new address and tap Continue.
